Classes & Controls

Three classes, each built around a distinct combat identity. All are solo-viable — your class determines how you fight, not what you can access.

Classes

WARRIOR

Slow but hits hard. High health pool and strong damage reduction let the Warrior wade into fights others can't survive. Punishes grouped enemies and walls with melee AOE.

Attacks (slowest cooldown)
A tap

Melee slash — 0.6s cooldown. Single target. Connects build a 4-step combo chain: 1.0× → 1.2× → 1.4× → 1.6× damage. Misses drop the chain by one step; mashing on cooldown resets it entirely.

A hold

Forward cone AoE — hits every enemy in a frontal arc with knockback and a 3-second stun. Best used when surrounded.

Y Second Wind 60s cd

8s buff. Reduces all incoming damage by 40% and restores 40% max HP over the duration.

B×2 Shield Charge 10s cd

Costs 40% stamina. Bursts forward ~5 tiles, smashing through breakables. Any enemy hit is stunned for 3 seconds.

SKIRMISHER

Fastest on the map. Trades raw HP for unmatched mobility and a bleed proc on every hit. Fights best by diving in, applying pressure, and dashing away before taking fire.

A tap

Multi-hit slash — 0.37s cooldown. Hits up to 3 nearby enemies per swing at 0.7× base damage each. Each hit has a 33% chance to apply bleed.

A hold

360° spin — sweeps all surrounding enemies with knockback and guaranteed bleed on every hit.

Y Shadow Mend 60s cd

8s buff. Restores 50% max HP over the duration. For the first 1.5s your sprite fades semi-transparent and you take 50% reduced damage.

B×2 Echo Step 15s cd

Instant 5-tile dash in your current facing direction. Leaves a decoy at your original position for 3 seconds — nearby enemies will target and attack it instead of you. The decoy can't take damage, but enemies waste their attack cooldown on it.

ARCANIST

Glass cannon and teleporter. Lowest health in the game, but the highest damage multiplier and the only class with a ranged attack and a true escape tool.

Attacks
A tap

Tracking arcane bolt — 0.5s cooldown. Fires a homing Arcane projectile at your locked target (L1 to lock). Requires a staff.

A hold

Chain lightning — instantly strikes your locked target, then chains to up to 2 more enemies within 4 tiles for 60% damage each. All enemies within 5 tiles are stunned for 3 seconds and knocked back.

Y Arcane Ward 60s cd

8s buff. Erects a 2-hit damage shield that fully absorbs the next two hits, and restores 60% max HP over the duration.

B×2 Void Shift 15s cd

Teleports up to 10 tiles to the nearest open position in your facing direction. Grants a 3-second ghost window on arrival — you move freely but cannot be targeted.

Combat Controls

A
Light Attack
Tap to attack. Cooldown and behaviour vary by class — see the class cards above. Warrior gains a combo chain (0.6s cd). Skirmisher hits multiple enemies (0.37s cd). Arcanist fires a tracking bolt (0.5s cd).
A hold
Heavy Attack
Hold A for 0.5s to charge a heavy attack (3s cooldown). Warrior: stunning AoE cone. Skirmisher: 360° spin with guaranteed bleed. Arcanist: chain lightning with 3s stun. All variants knock back.
R1 hold
Shield Block
Hold to raise your shield. Reduces damage from the 90° front arc by 30%. Drains stamina at 8/s — if you run out, the shield drops automatically. All classes carry a shield.
B hold
Sprint
Hold to sprint at 1.5× move speed. Drains stamina only while you're actually moving. Stamina exhaustion locks sprinting until you recover.

Class Ability
Your permanent starter ability — never lost on death. 60s cooldown. See the class cards above for per-class details.
B×2
Movement Ability
Double-tap B to trigger your class movement ability. 10–15s cooldown depending on class. Costs 40% stamina (Warrior) or nothing (Skirmisher, Arcanist).
X
Ability Tome
Activates your equipped Ability Tome if you have one. Tomes are found as loot inside dungeons and are permanently lost when you die — they never return to your vault.
L1
Target Cycling
Tap to cycle through on-screen enemies. Double-tap to snap to the nearest enemy. Used for directed Arcanist bolts and enemy inspection.

Quick-Use & Utility

R2 hold
Quick-Use Strip
Hold R2 to open the quick-use menu. D-pad left/right cycles between slots (Health Potion, Stamina Potion, Food). Press A to consume the highlighted item and close. B cancels.
L2
Radial Chat Wheel
Opens a directional quick-chat wheel for communicating with teammates without typing. Broadcasts to everyone in the dungeon.
Select
Inventory
Opens your full in-dungeon inventory — Equipment and Character tabs. You can equip gear mid-run, inspect item stats, and drop items from your bag. IronVault contents are not accessible in dungeons.
Start
System Menu
Pause menu with logout and settings. Does not pause the dungeon — enemies keep moving while this is open.
Select hold
Extract
Stand on the extraction portal and hold Select for 1.5s to extract. The portal only opens during the collapse window — it's locked for the first portion of the run. Extract or die.
A
Interact / Pick Up
When not in combat, A picks up ground loot within ~1.5 tiles. Also opens chests, interacts with the dungeon crucible and NPCs. Pickup takes priority over interaction when loot is in range.

Consumables

Health Potion

Restores 40% of max HP instantly. You carry up to 3 into each run from your quick slots. Found as dungeon loot.

Stamina Potion

Instantly restores a portion of stamina, breaking exhaustion lock. Useful when you need sprint or shield back immediately.

Food

Applies a 10-second regeneration buff. Heals gradually over the duration rather than all at once — best used before a fight, not during.
